Me: In a Nutshell...
Where to start? Well, incase you're wondering what 'D-9' means, it's a nickname of mine that's based on how my name is spelled - D(e)NINE - and I've had this "handle" for as long as I can remember. I'm a fun-loving, rural Manitoba-born girl who now resides in Regina, Saskatchewan (I still can't quite get on board with the whole Rider Nation thing, though!) I'm a full-time student in the Elementary Education Program at the University of Regina and I also work part-time at an amazing day care in the city called Hope's Home, which is dedicated to the education and well-being of medically fragile kids. Before enrolling at the U of R, I worked in broadcasting as a creative writer and producer at several radio stations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
What else? I love animals, the outdoors, and many fine activities, such as kayaking, curling, biking, and quadding. I have a great boyfriend, who goes by the name of Jeff, and we are going to spend the summer working on our backyard and camping. He owns a business called Attic and Beyond Insulation that I help out with too! I also love going to concerts, hearing a good joke, indulging in a hearty pasta dish, and working toward living more sustainably. So welcome to D-9's Domain - I hope you enjoy reading, watching, and listening to all the things I post on here as much as I enjoy sharing them with you!
