If you haven't heard of Hope's Home, it's probably because it's the first daycare of its kind in Canada. It's a medical daycare, which means that children with diverse medical needs can learn, play, and be cared for in an inclusive environment. Here's a video that gives a great overview of the daycare, its mission, and what's at the heart of it all - the children.
This Friday, June 1st, Big Dog 92.7 FM is hosting their annual Kids Fund Radiothon at the Cornwall Centre in support of Hope's Home Respite Program. As a proud member of the Hope's Home team, I can tell you that Hope's Home could not provide the high level of care that it does without the support of the community. From assistive equipment and medical supplies, to educational toys, learning materials, and even things like proper bedding, it costs a lot to ensure that the children have the most accessible and welcoming space possible. So, on June 1st, please stop by the Cornwall Centre (see map below) or tune in to Big Dog between 6am and 6pm to find out how you can help the families of Hope's Home.
